So I wanted to start a blog that would give me the freedom to share my thoughts on what interests me. As to not be limited by a specific part of film and at the same time not start talking about other interests of mine outside the film industry, I chose to keep it broad and stick to just film.
This blog stems from my love of film. From an early age films were a huge part of my life. I cannot recall how many films I've seen. Maybe I'll look into that.
For now, for the purpose of this assignment, I will talk about a film that I saw recently that I feel is quite thought provoking.
The Social Network is the latest of many films that I've seen throughout my life that made me take a step back and think about the experiences of my past and my thoughts on my future. Inspirational? Maybe. Smart? Most definitely. The characters in the film, accurate to the actual people they portray or not, were captivating.
As an aspiring filmmaker, I saw a young man with a vision and an unwavering drive to see that vision into a reality. The relationships that he had were an instrument to achieve his goal. Wether right or wrong, Mark Zuckerberg's character did what he felt he had to do to get to where he wanted.
